Root Canal Therapy

A root canal therapy is usually recommended when the tooth surface is healthy, but its root or pulp is damaged/infected. If this is the case, you might be experiencing some or all these symptoms:

  • Acute and intense pain
  • Sharp pain when biting down
  • Lingering pain after eating hot or cold food
  • Dull ache and pressure
  • Tenderness and swelling in the surrounding gum

During a root canal therapy, the pulp of your tooth, which consists of connective tissues, nerves and blood vessels, is completely removed. The ‘canal’ is then cleaned out, filled and sealed again to preserve the inner and the outer structure of the tooth to prevent any inflammation from recurring.

If you’re experiencing any of the above-mentioned symptoms, call our office to book an appointment now! We’d love to help alleviate your pain and bring your teeth back to a healthy state.

Endodontics & Root Canal Therapy at Yorkville Dental Arts

Dr. Deliakis’ dental expertise and care for her patients’ well being drive her to always go for the best dental treatment method, and if that means causing inconveniences for her patients, her entire dental team and herself will work on easing the procedure and making it as quick and as pleasant as can be. A Root Canal Therapy is not a patient’s favorite choice of treatment; however, if Dr. Deliakis sees that the tooth can be saved, then she’ll have to recommend the procedure with her patient’s health and best interest in mind.
